It's well known that fishing and spearfishing in all Panama it's epic all year round.

In the Pacific Side of Panama close to Hannibal Bank we found a real paradise for Spearfishing,  just outside Coiba archipelago we can bring you to land the fish of your life as a great Yellow fin Tuna, Giant Cubera or many other species!

Travel in Panama it's safe and the country it's not big, you can drive easy just some road need to be driven carefully due to pot holes!

Travel for spearfishing in Panama it's great, you can start your trip having some good spearfishing close to the city of Panama in some islands, if conditions are good, here visibility could be tricky but it's full of life under water! Caribbean side it's much more blue and some good spots are around Portobelo in Costa Arriba but sure less life if you compare with the Pacific Side.

The best for us, first time travelling in Panama years ago was found in the Pacific Side of Panama, in a small town named Santa Catalina. It's at least 5 hours from Panama City, due to the position and distance we are still far from big civilisation, and the town preserve the charming and the tipical style. 

Choosing this town of Panama for your holiday and using as a hub to go spearfishing it's a great option. You can enjoy a quite place where to start great adventures. OIf you come in a family mood other activiies are available they never get bored! 

Spearbaby born in Panama, after some years of living here and exploring this place and thanks first of all to the local team I've met that encourage and support the project in any way.

The Local team is an important aspect, we are together and I'm proud of what we have herein Santa Catalina, they express their best loving their passion: the Ocean.

Spearfishing was and still is for some locals one tradition came from their ancestor "adventurer of the sea". A natural selection this sport activity bring out a great crew from this town. All our captain are skilled waterman. The fun we have together while Spearfishing it's part of the experience. Nice people with smile on their face! Going out and spearfishing a Tuna or a Giant Cubera thanks to their tips or help will show you the real satisfaction in our eyes!  In the same way they will look to learn from you your secrets and your passion for spearfishing.

We run different boat tours, not only Spearfishing or Fishing. This is just ONE of our activity! We love Nature in general and also run boat safari to explore this paradise.

Spearfishing Seasons in Panama:

Dry Season from December to April

Green Wet Season May to November

Tuna Season starts from February thru July

Inshore conditions are great during small tides and small swells for better visibility, we go spearfishing all year round here in Panama.

Ethical:

Our Philosophy is to select for pelagic migratory species and a few bottom reef game species. We do not want to interrupt the important chain of life we have in our waters and fishing the "residents", sometime we need to stop  the hunt and we enjoy the world underwater.

Selective:

Aiming certain species avoiding reef fishes it's our way to go. NO residents fish!

Spearfishing, we do this for sport and passion we get our catch mainly for consuming during dinner and when we able to get more we donate and spread in our community, we do not waste anything!

For us is very important to have a low impact in this waters and respect the locals and their traditions

We will continue teaching and sharing our passion to show the respect we have for what we do!

Boats

We use good fishing panga fiber glass boats

25" feet with 2 85hp Yamaha equipped for fishing

30" feet with 200hp Yamaha equipped for fishing

The porpoise to use this kind of boat it's a MUST. Why?

3. can be pulled out the water for maintenance

4. we can access many rivers high tide
